About

Mission Statement:

Texas Financial Choice works to inform government officials, credit-access businesses, news media outlets, and the general public  about the credit-access industry in Texas and the harm that results when local governments pass local financial ordinances  that limit credit options for citizens.

  • Limit consumer choice;
  • Force consumers to turn to unsavory alternatives such as overdrafts, off-shore internet lending, and illegal sources.
  • Is not enforceable and is pre-empted by state laws.
  • Puts cities at risk of incurring thousands of dollars in potential litigation costs.
  • Interfere with the free-market principles upon which Texas has flourished.
